Dear Employee,
We are really looking forward to our upcoming party / get-together!
{Insert Details}
We’re excited to celebrate together and make this event full of fun and good cheer!
Just a quick reminder: while we’re outside the office, the same standards of behaviour and conduct still apply. Our usual rules, policies, and procedures remain in place to ensure everyone enjoys the occasion safely and respectfully.
To make sure everyone has a great time, here are a few friendly reminders:
- Keep it professional: Be inclusive and respectful in what you say and do—just like in the workplace.
- Know the basics: Take a moment to refresh yourself on our key policies, including equality, anti-harassment, and anti-bullying.
- Think before you post: Please don’t share photos, videos, or comments on social media without consent from the organisation and everyone involved. Anything that could be seen as offensive or inappropriate is a definite no-go.
- Safety first: Look after your own health and safety, and keep an eye out for others. We’ll do the same as your employer.
- Enjoy responsibly: If you’re having a festive drink, do so in moderation. Make sure you’ve travel arrangements sorted to get home safely. Don’t drink and drive—and be mindful the next day before getting behind the wheel.
- Spread kindness: The holidays aren’t easy for everyone, so let’s look out for each other and make this a positive experience for all.
Just so we’re all on the same page, here are a few examples of what’s not okay:
- Going overboard: Excessive drinking or any use of illegal substances.
- Crossing the line: Discrimination, harassment, inappropriate touching, threats, fighting, aggressive behaviour, abusive language, or anything offensive.
- Anything else that’s clearly out of bounds: If it wouldn’t fly at work, it won’t fly here either.
Be aware that improper conduct or other unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated.
